Abejaruco is located on the southern slopes of the Sierra de Gredos, at the foot of the Puerto del Pico pass and the Sierra de Gredos Regional Park, on a property of some 16,000 m2, 1 km from Cuevas del Valle.
Our property contains some 50 chestnut trees and 100 fruit trees of 30 varieties along with several vegetable gardens, all run on the principles of organic farming and with the benefit of a microclimate that is mild in winter and cool in summer. |

One of the roads into Abejaruco links it with the Cuevas chestnut woods and the Arroyo del Puerto stream, where the white-throated dipper is a biological indicator of how clean the water is.
The other road leads directly to the pine woods on the slopes of Monte Torozo (2021 m) where the goshawk presides, and to the ancient Roman road of Puerto del Pico, one of the best-preserved Roman roadways in the world. |
